About the Role:
Our client are seeking an experienced and motivated Rail Planner to join their growing team in Berlin. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rail infrastructure projects, particularly with Deutsche Bahn (DB), and will be familiar with planning phases 3–5 according to the HOAI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, coordinate, and manage rail infrastructure plans during HOAI phases 3–5 (design to execution planning).

  • Collaborate with project teams, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Work closely with DB and adhere to all relevant planning guidelines, technical standards, and regulations.

  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed rail projects.

  • Ensure plans are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in rail planning, preferably on DB (Deutsche Bahn) projects.

  • Solid understanding of HOAI planning phases 3–5.

  • Fluent in German (written and spoken).

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in relevant planning and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation, or similar).

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
